During this project we had to overcome a number of challenges. Which all started with lockdown arriving. Despite a project partner pulling out and being unable to physically deliver projects onsite due to covid-19 restrictions, we found a way and adapted successfully. We couldn’t get through to offices to acquire licence approval for books, so we created our own! “Ego Miego” and “Karma Pyjama” were particularly popular.

We even called upon illustrators and musicians to help us get this project over the line. We couldn’t visit the families or children, so we advertised and delivered workshops over zoom. Some people we not able to engage through the zoom platform, therefore we shot a number of storytime performances and provided free links to parents and schools to view the stories and workshops through YouTube.
