Thanks to funding from the Arts Council, Galli Galli Theatre Company was able to convert a dilapidated working men’s club in one of the countries most deprived areas, into an arts venue that hosted two weeks of daytime workshops in performing arts. The night time was also a hub of activity, when we transformed the space to deliver live professional performances to the local community. This project engaged over 100 local people and led to weekly classes in performing arts for many of the young people involved.
